Our Track Record
- From 2014 to 2016, we developed and executed the Social Media Africa Awards (SMAA). It was a continent-wide award initiative that recognised, rewarded and celebrated excellence, creativity and impact in the use of social media as a means to promote good use and pioneering bottom-up regulation. We recorded participation from 14 African countries, active participation of top-level industry executives as jury and board members, and performances by six African artistes. SMAA had a combined 400 million+ impressions across social media platforms, including 100 million Twitter impressions and 800+ live audience.
- ImpactHouse also handled the Social Media Africa Summit (SMAS) project from 2014 to 2016. The summit was a gathering of top social media experts and users, regulatory bodies/policymakers and other stakeholder groups. SMAS presented a unique opportunity for participants to discuss corporate/impact sustainability strategy at the highest level, and produce strategic recommendations and action imperatives for the future of the social media sphere in Africa.
- In 2016, we organised the AELEX 11th Annual Lecture for ǼLEX Legal Practitioners and Arbitrators. We took charge of speaker suggestions, stage design, online coverage, media content and reporting, and recorded 9.7 million impressions and 816,768 direct reach.
- We have delivered communication consultancy for the African Development Bank (AfDB). - In 2021, we produced over 8,000 reports for Covidhub.ng in a campaign against the spread of misinformation about the Covid-19 pandemic.
- In collaboration with the Police Reformation and Transformation Office (PORTO), we produced a three-episode skit video to enlighten and sensitise Nigerian citizens to their rights and the police of their responsibilities in accordance with the Nigerian Police Act 2020 and engender a subtle process of ‘’Citizen Reform’’ in cadence with the ‘’Police Reform’’ which is necessary for building a social contract between citizens and the public.
- Also in 2022, supported by Malala Fund and Working with the National Working Group on Basic & Secondary Education, we successfully produced a 4-episode #EducationNOW9ja skit to simplify the civil society manifesto on Education for the comprehension and action of every Nigerian, increasing public demands for education commitments by political candidates in the 2023 general election.
